Such a time like this...

Until we place value on human life, things may never get better.
The greatest commandment has been to Love God and the other
like it is Love your neighbour.
Here now, your neighbour does not mean the person that leaves
next door to you.
It's about you doing good to as many as you can in what ever capacity you can.
Such a time like this our Love talk must be made to walk by giving a hand to that person that needs it, the person does not have to necessarily ask for it.
Such a time like this we must pray.
Recent occurrence in our land #Nigeria is so heart breaking...
Such a time like this we must not keep silent especially in prayer.
Oh Lord Arise! In your mighty power and fight this battle. Amen.

"You can't take it with you"

This is Adapted from Secrets of Super Achievers.
The miser who lives for himself dies miserably.
I am reminded of one of such man who as he reached the end of his days,
decided to try to cheat the old maxim, "You can't take it with you".
Summoning his Lawyer, Doctor, and Minister to his bedside, he entrusted to each an envelope containing $100,000 cash.
" I have no friends, and you gentlemen are the only one's I can trust" he said, " what I have given you is the sum total of my life savings.
I want you each to swear a solemn pledge to throw your envelope with its money into my grave when they begin to bury me". The three men agreed to fulfill this task, and about a month later the old miser died.
When the first clods fell on the coffin, so too did the three envelopes as the Doctor, Lawyer and Minister stood seriously at the graveyard.
After the funeral, the three decided to join each other for a drink.
It wasn't long before the Doctor spoke up. "Sirs, I have to confess. My practice have been very difficult, my wife has developed a serious drinking problem and money has been in short supply. I took $30,000 out of my envelope and only threw in $70,000".
There was a moments silence and then the Lawyer began to speak. "I too must get this off my chest. These last twelve months have been very difficult for me. I have developed a gambling addiction that has almost destroyed my life. I took out $70,000 and only threw in $30,000."
The minister, as you can well imagined, was shocked by these admissions.
He stood up and addressed both men. "Gentlemen, I cannot believe you have broken your pledges in this matter. I want you both to know that I threw in a check for the full amount!"
